新春伊始,万象更新，我们又迎来了一个崭新的学期，2021年3月1日,我校国际学生部全体师生汇集在报告厅,隆重举行春季开学典礼。

At the beginning of the new year, everything seems bright and fresh as we usher in a brand-new semester. On March 1, 2021, teachers and students of the International Students Section gathered in the lecture hall for the grand opening ceremony for the spring semester.

陈红校长的新学期致辞拉开了新学期帷幕，陈校长首先肯定了2020年学校各项工作所取得的成绩，高度赞扬了防疫常态化背景下师生携手所做出的努力和贡献，希望同学们能够正确认识疫情与人们的生活共存，学会珍惜、敬畏生命，学会谦卑地倾听不同的声音，改变自我，向上生长。

The new semester was officially started by Principal Chen Hong’s new semester address. Principal Chen affirmed the achievements of the school in 2020 and praised the efforts and contributions made by teachers and students in the context of normalization of pandemic prevention, encouraging students to continue acclimating to new conditions, cherishing and respecting life, learning to appreciate different perspective, and develop as individuals.

法制宣传是开学典礼必不可少的环节，马敏老师向同学们详细生动地介绍了外国留学生在中国生活期间应该了解的法制法规，以及安全注意事项，提高同学们的安全意识。

Legal publicity is an indispensable part of the opening ceremony. Ms. Ma gave an overview of the laws and regulations regarding foreign students, as well as safety precautions in order to improve students' safety awareness.

外教MC老师和Larry老师分别进行了关于“如何与疫情共存”与“心理健康”的讲座，鼓励同学们正确认识人类与新冠病毒共存的现状，协调好疫情常态化管理下的学习和生活，做到讲科学、长知识、见行动、养习惯;做好心理建设，学会管理情绪，做更好的自己。

Mr. MC and Mr. Larry gave lectures on "The reality of coexisting with virus and the role of physical health and well-being " and "Stretching Your Brain: Mental Coping Exercises" respectively. These lectures encouraged students to understand their current situation and acclimate to these trying times through respect for science, cultivating healthy habits, and paying close attention to our psychological states and manage our emotions.

程亚琴老师为大家带来了校园防疫讲座，普及校园防疫知识，弘扬抗疫精神，并告诫大家疫情防控常态下我们依然不能松懈，做好自我防护工作。黄天泽老师为师生们普及了校园用电安全知识。

Ms. Yaqin Cheng promoted campus epidemic prevention knowledge and the fighting epidemic spirit and warned everyone that we still need to vigilant to manage this epidemic. Finally, Mr. Huang Tianze presented knowledge about electricity safety.

开学典礼在热烈的掌声中圆满落幕，相信在新的学期，我们全体师生将用的姿态迎接新的挑战。新学期，新气象，相信北京市第五十五中学国际教育的明天会更美好!

The opening ceremony ended successfully with warm applause. We believe that in the new semester all of our teachers and students will meet new challenges bravely and with positive attitudes. With a new semester comes a new image. We believe that Beijing No. 55 High School international education will continue to excel.
