3月12日，上海德英乐学院举办了创校以来第三届数学圆周率日活动，即年度Pi Day盛典!同学们早在Pi Day活动之前就已经开始准备了各种π，今天让我们一起大饱眼福吧!

On March 12th, our school held the SDA Third Math Pi Day event since establishment- the annual Pi Day celebration! The students have already prepared various “π”s before the Pi Day event. Let's feast our eyes on them today.

圆周率日活动

Pi Song 听π

数学老师收到了很多同学们发来的与π有关的歌曲，温馨美好，创意十足，老师们从中选了几首歌曲最为近期学校的上下课铃声。

The math teachers have received a lot of “π”-related songs from the students. They are warm, beautiful, and full of creativity. The teachers selected a few songs as the school bells for the near future.

Pi Logo 画π

这个任务中，同学们和老师们创意无限，发挥自己的想象，挖掘出很多宝藏π!

In this task, the students and teachers gave full play to their creative imaginations, and created many valuable “π”s!

Pi Trace 行π

怎么样才能算是行π呢?路程3.14，或者走出π的形状都可以!

How to walk along Pi Trace? The distance can be 3.14, or the trace can be shape of “π”.

Pi Food 吃π

跟π有关的美食实在太多啦!Pi 和Pie，还有Pineapple(谐音)!

There are so many foods related to “π”, such as Pi, Pie and Pineapple (similar pronunciation)!

Memorize Pi 背π

在这个游戏环节中，同学们大显身手，展示自己记忆力，看谁背的最多呢?

In this game, the students showed their strong memory. Let’s see who can memorize the most?

Pi Day Events

同学们自行组队，分别在数独、背π、趣味问答、以及数学绘画中完成挑战，获得奖品!

The students formed teams to complete the challenging tasks in Sudoku, memorizing “π”, fun Q&A, and math drawing and finally won the prizes.

这次的π day同学们参与活动的积极性其实是很让我意外的，因为我本来以为大家可能不会对这些小游戏或者是学习还原魔方这类活动感兴趣。不仅如此，我原本负责的任务是教授一层魔方的还原，但是有很多同学都希望学习三阶魔方全还原，甚至有同学一直练习到了活动结束。我很高兴大家都能享受这一次的活动，大家高兴我作为教授者也很高兴啦!

In fact, I was surprised by the enthusiasm of students to participate in the π Day activities, because I thought that people might not be interested in these small games or learning to solve Rubik's Cube activities. What's more, my original task was to teach the reduction of the first-order Rubik's Cube, but many students wanted to learn the total reduction of the third-order Rubik's Cube, and some of them even practiced until the end of the activity. I am very happy that everyone can enjoy this activity and I am also glad that everyone has experienced a period of great time together!

Pi Day活动，激发了我对数学这门学科的兴趣。Pi是一个具有神秘色彩的符号、数字，没有人知道他的极限，只要你不停止计算，他就会源源不断地显现自己。当然除了Pi以外，数学趣味游戏和问答也让我们着迷，特别是找到答案的那一刻。

Jason Zhu is one of the volunteers of Pi Day event and he extremely likes it: Pi Day aroused my interest in the subject of Math. Pi, as a mysterious symbol and number, no one konws its limits. As long as you calculate, it will keep going. Except for Pi, funny Math games and Q&A also fascinate me which the best part is finding the answer.

我是游戏24点志愿者，非常有趣的发现很多同学在签票口嚷嚷着24点最简单的，最后都卡在这里啦。

I am the volunteer of the 24 points game and I find a very interesting fact: a number of students were discussing outside the classroom and talking about how easy 24 Points Game is while they all got stuck eventually.

Y10 Hudson Yu

在数独关卡的时候，我一开始想挑战最高难度，结果不到6分钟就挑战失败 后来又降低了难度，花了十几分钟才最后通关。

On the Sudoku game, I tried to do the master version first, but failed the game in less than 6 minutes. Then I lowered the difficulty again, and it took me ten more minutes to finish the game.

数独是一个很烧脑的数学游戏，大师级的数独对同学们更是一个巨大的挑战，作为志愿者的我看到了同学们的失败，也看到了齐心协力后的成功。对我们这一些Y12学生来说，数独早在最早的SDA就是我们为数不多的日常消遣，甚至还会去刷新自己的时间记录 。今天的活动十分有趣，谢谢数学组的各位老师们～

Sudoku is a very brain-boggling math game, and the master level Sudoku poses a great challenge to the students. As a volunteer, I have seen the failures of the students and the success of our concerted efforts. For those of us who are Y12 students, sudoku was one of our few daily pastimes in SDA, and we even broke our own time records today. Today's Pi Day activity is very interesting. Thank all the teachers of math dept.

今天在Pi day当了一天志愿者，派发礼物!虽然没能参加比赛和活动，但真的很开心因为能看到同学都很热情与积极的参与。而且今天的活动奖励真的又实际又丰盛，披萨大家吃的都很开心，希望这样的活动可以多办!

I spent all day volunteering and allocating gifts in Pi Day event. Though I did not participate in the competition, I am really happy to see all students’ enthusiasm and passion in it. Moreover, prizes of the event were useful and delicious! Everybody enjoyed our pizzas and we want more events like this!

欢乐的Pi Day在铃声中结束，同学们对数学有了更多的了解，生活中的数学随处可见，需要我们有发现数学的眼睛。

The happy Pi Day ended with a bell. The students have a better understanding of math. Math in life can be seen everywhere, and we need to find out it with our eyes.
