Whether your college graduation goal is to enter the workforce or pursue an advanced degree, our chemistry degree will provide an excellent foundation. Careers in chemistry span many industries including health care, agriculture, food chemistry and oil and petroleum.

Professional chemists can be employed in the following areas:

• Environmental chemistry
• Food and flavor chemistry
• Science writing
• Hazardous waste management
• Forensic chemistry

Chemistry/Pre-Medicine Option

A career as a physician requires scientific and medical knowledge as well as a caring and compassionate personality. An option for students interested in a medical career is the chemistry major. Students majoring in chemistry are encouraged to take additional courses in biology to gain the knowledge needed for entrance into medical schools.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have high school grades (minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average) and class rank. English Language Requirements: TOEFL (iBT) score of at least 61, an IELTS score of at least 6.0, a Pearson Test of English (academic) of at least 50, or an International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP) of at least 3.5.
