在这里学什么？ **Please note that this course is only available for Year Three (Level 6) entry.**This course is ideal if you wish to proceed to a PGCE or School Direct with a subject specialism in Physical Education (PE).The aim of this degree is to equip you with the applied practical skills and teaching skills required to pursue a career in education.You will study applied practical skills, child development and work-based practice, ultimately providing you with the knowledge and skills needed to teach PE. You will also study current issues in education, how children learn and develop, and how to plan and deliver practical sessions. You will have the opportunity to develop your practical skills within a range of sports and physical activities, enabling you to examine the place of PE within the school curriculum.The BA (Hons) Physical Educationu200b is just one of an exciting range of courses on offer at the University of Wolverhampton’s Institute of Sport. Why not come and visit us at one of our Open Days.You will study applied practical skills, child development, pedagogical skills and work-based practice. The course involves both practical and theoretical study of the techniques and skills involved in teaching. In addition, you will study current issues in education, how children learn and develop, and how to plan and deliver practical sessions. Work-based learning and placements are central to this course, and you will gain experiences of primary and secondary school PE activities, working with younger children and adolescents.In your third year, you will complete an individual project, based on a topic of your choice, as you prepare to embark on your teaching career. You will also explore a range of philosophies, historical viewpoints, current issues and comparative perspectives of PE.You will become equipped with a substantial knowledge of teaching and a set of skills and values to advance your career prospects, and take a substantial role in regional, national and international communities through PE teaching.Practical competency and teaching skills are core to the BA (Hons) in Physical Education. These aspects are supported by an understanding of children and educational issues acquired in lectures and a variety of school placements. Throughout your studies, you will use a broad range of information technology to facilitate effective studies in PE, which will be vital for your future career.
