About the course

If you're an Advanced Nurse or a member of a related profession looking to study gastroenterology and endoscopy to progress your career as an independent practitioner, this is the programme for you.

Gastroenterology and endoscopy is a growing field for nurses who wish to expand their scope of practice. This programme gives you the skills and knowledge to plan, perform and develop care to meet patient needs.

It is ideal preparation to work as a practitioner in a wide variety of settings including endoscopy units, clinics, MDT, cancer care, IBD, satellite units, GP practices and in the community.

Future prospects

The program will enable you to become a competent, safe and motivated practitioner within the field of gastroenterology, with professional attitudes, values and perspectives.

It aims to produce enthusiastic, reflective and analytical thinkers who can interpret and apply theory to their professional practice, providing high quality patient-centred care within the endoscopy setting.

为来自中国的学生设计 The majority of our taught Masters programmes / research Masters programmes and PhDs require that you hold a qualification equivalent to an upper second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.1), although some programmes, especially PhDs may have higher entry requirements. We generally consider Bachelor degree awarded by a nationally recognised higher education institution in China to be comparable to a UK Bachelor Honours degree. Lower second-class (2.2) equivalen - Overall grade of 70%. We may be able to accept a minimum grade of 65% if you have studied at a prestigious University as defined by the Ministry of Education. Upper second-class (2.1) equivalent - Overall grade of 75 %. We may be able to accept a minimum grade of 70% if you have studied at a prestigious University as defined by the Ministry of Education. International English Language Testing System (IELTS)- Academic Test (all test centres) 6.0 overall (with a minimum 5.5 in each skill) 5.5 overall with 5.5 in each skill accepted for entry to degrees with integrated foundation year.
