专业概况

在这里学什么？

The Bachelor of Science in entrepreneurship provides the business training needed to launch a successful enterprise. Chicago now ranks second in the nation in the number of fast-growing small businesses. To immerse our students in the city's entrepreneurial community, we partner with startup hubs, connect students with internships, and run the Illinois Small Business Development Center right here under our own roof. Our Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies hosts an annual Startup Challenge, and offers innovation incubators, business plan support, and many other resources that put our students on the fast track to starting their own businesses.

The Path of an Entrepreneur

Entrepreneurs don't follow a career path they make their own. At UIC Business, we understand the drive and determination that makes an entrepreneur successful, and we provide the resources and directions to transform their goals into reality.

Students in the bachelor of entrepreneurship program gain knowledge of business planning, financing, marketing, management, information technology and consulting. You'll learn how to apply this knowledge to new ventures, small enterprises and family businesses.

Program Outcomes

With an entrepreneurship degree, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to:

• Evaluate and write business venture plans
• Identify and screen potential entrepreneurial opportunities
• Analyze economic conditions
• Unravel the legal issues (establishing partnerships, incorporating, issuing IPOs, etc.)
• Consult with business owners
• Take the reins at a family business
• Create and manage e-commerce companies
• And so much more! The possibilities are endless because as an entrepreneur, you make your own career path.

为来自中国的学生设计 High school graduates who have never attended another college or university must submit evidence of graduation from an accredited high school or submit passing scores on the General Educational Development (GED) test. English language requirements: TOEFL iBT score 80; TOEFL PBT score 550; IELTS Academic overall score 6.5; Listening, Writing, Reading, Speaking score 6; PTE Academic overall score 54 Listening 47, Writing 56, Reading 51, Speaking 53.
