This major is available only on the Lima, Mansfield and Marion campuses.

Ohio State's engineering technology program is designed to meet growing demand for graduates who possess manufacturing engineering technology skills that integrate business and leadership principles with engineering processes and technical knowledge.

Students in this program prepare for manufacturing leadership roles by learning to:

• apply appropriate engineering technologies and 21st-century tools
• analyze problems using a systems approach
• bring the needs of people into the equation
• use strong interpersonal and communication skills
• employ effective business analysis of decisions in local and global contexts

Curriculum

Engineering technology students take courses in manufacturing processes, industrial controls and automation, electrical circuits, programming, robotics, project and operations management, lean manufacturing, and leadership and change management.

Possible careers

Graduates of the engineering technology program are valued for their understanding of production, systems, business and technology; their ability to work in diverse teams; and their ability to lead. They are prepared for employment as process and manufacturing engineers, maintenance and operations supervisors, process improvement leaders, and operational excellence team members.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have successful completion of the minimum college prep requirements. High school performance (class rank and GPA), including participation in accelerated programs like Honors, AP and IB. Other English Language Requirements: 550 or higher on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL).
