The Bachelor of Liberal Studies (BLS) in History degree program offers study in American, European, world, and military history. History degree students gain skills applicable to many careers, including the ability to criticize, organize, and synthesize extensive materials, and to write with clarity and precision.

Learning Outcomes

An understanding and appreciation of human history and historical analysis. An understanding of historical facts and causalities, as well as global consequences of historical events, in context of countries and nations. A broad-based education in the liberal arts, including exposure to the humanities, the social sciences, and the natural sciences, that may be considered complete in itself or suitable as preparation for graduate study.
