Program Description

The Emerging Media Production option includes the pre-production, production and distribution of digital material for film, television and interactive media. Students acquire effective computer skills to design websites, create streaming audio and video, and develop games and virtual reality and emerging formats.

Student Learning Outcomes

At the end of the program of study, students will be able to: Identify and critically analyze the fundamental components and aesthetics of audiovisual storytelling; Develop and write scripts for fiction and nonfiction audiovisual productions; Demonstrate knowledge of historical, cultural, critical, theoretical and emergent aspects of media arts; Develop the skills necessary to produce, research and/or present an entertainment industry or other media project; Demonstrate the skills, knowledge and problem-solving abilities that are pertinent in a professional setting.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students will be considered for admission to CSUN if they meet the following requirements: Have earned a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale, or an average of "B" grades on an "A - F" letter grading scale. An international first-time freshman is a student applying to a bachelor's degree program who has not completed any post-secondary course work at a college or university. English language requirements: IELTS Academic - International English Language Test System: 6.0 or higher; iTEP Academic - International Test of English Proficiency - 5.0 or higher; PTE Academic - Pearson’s Test of English - 45 or higher; TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language: Internet Based score: 61, Paper-based score: 500. We do not accept TOEFL ITP.
