专业概况

If you have a passion for all things historic, then you've come to the right place. As a history major at the University of Findlay, you will be challenged in classes such as:

• Introduction to history
• American history
• European history
• Global history
• Senior seminar - you get to be the historian
• Four elective courses of your choice (i.e. economics, political science and geography)

Special strengths of UF’s history program include military history, social history, women’s history, world history, film and history, state and local history, and other cutting-edge areas such as sports history, legal history and environmental history.

Are you interested in teaching history?

You can double major in history and education at UF and teach history and social studies upon graduation.

Would you rather be a writer?

The combination of history and English majors will give you the background and skills needed to work as a technical writer, television reporter or communication consultant.

The faculty recommends that students take elective courses in economics, geography, history, political science, and sociology.

Students are also encouraged to consider the development of an individualized major. Individualized majors are to be interdisciplinary in nature and are to cross area lines. During the freshman year, the student should consult with the faculty adviser in developing a program linking individual interests in history with business, fine arts, science, religion, philosophy, and the humanities, depending upon career goals and life plans.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have high school grades (minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average) and class rank. English Language Requirements: TOEFL (iBT) score of at least 61, an IELTS score of at least 6.0, a Pearson Test of English (academic) of at least 50, or an International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP) of at least 3.5.
