在这里学什么?Our program's mission is to prepare leaders to improve health in diverse populations by solving problems in rapidly changing societies and health systems. We offer analytical and practical knowledge and skills to candidates who have some experience in health fields and who want to assume positions of greater responsibility in improving the public's health and the effectiveness of health care and population health services. Our program's primary focus is population health and the health care system in the United States.
The MPH program in Health Services consistently ranks among the best. Our 2-year program offers exceptional instruction in research methods, health care systems, health economics, health promotion, and the social determinants of health. By combining these disparate domains into a single degree, we afford students a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary study and work.

Educate highly competent practitioners and researchers in health systems, health policy, and the social and behavioral sciences Educate students to work with diverse populations and organizations in applying the core functions of public health and other research-based approaches to solve problems Create and translate knowledge into effective strategies to improve population health and reduce health disparities in disadvantaged groups.
Social and Behavioral Sciences
Social and Behavioral Sciences is an elective concentration of the MPH program for students who wish to apply social and behavioral sciences theory and methods to the study, practice, and thought of public health. Skills such as survey research, statistics, behavioral measurement, ethnography, quality-of-life assessment, community-based participatory research, and cost-effectiveness analysis are stressed.
The focus of the SBS concentration is on research and application of knowledge concerning the relationships among:
social, cultural, and behavioral processes
health and illness
what society does and can do to promote health and prevent illness
Graduates who complete the concentration will have the background and skills to pursue careers in either research or in public health practice.

为来自中国的学生设计 Prospective graduate students must meet the following minimum requirements: Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S.1or its equivalent from a foreign institution; Have earned at least a 3.0 grade-point-average (on a 4 point scale) for the last 90 graded quarter credits or 60 graded semester credits.
