专业概况

As competition grows amongst those wishing to enter and develop a career in the construction industry, this internationally recognised qualification provides a quality benchmark for prospective employers and can enhance career progression.

Taught using principles applicable to quantity surveying across many industrial sectors, the programme provides graduates with a strong and in-depth knowledge of the subject area.

Eligible students can also take advantage of unique internship opportunities with our highly reputed industry partners.

Students take four courses in Semester 1 and a further four courses in Semester 2.

Taught courses include:

Contracts and Procurement Value and Risk Management Construction Technology Construction Financial Management Quantity Surveying Financial Management Construction Practices and Information Technology People and Organisation Management in the Built Environment Sustainability in Civil Engineering (optional) Real Estate Appraisal and Valuation (optional) Macroeconomics Finance and the Built Environment (optional)

In addition to these taught courses, students pursuing the Masters qualification undertake a research project. Students can study individual courses to meet the continued professional learning requirements of the built environment professions.

IELTS - 6.5; Heriot-Watt English - C; PTE Academic - 58-64; TOEFL IBT - 90; Cambridge (New) - 176-184; Cambridge (Old) - FCE (grade A), CAE (grade C); Trinity ISE II - Pass in all components.
