If you’re a non-law graduate, our new Law Conversion Course (PGDL) is your first step into a legal career. Progress onto our LPC or SQE preparation to become a solicitor+, or our BTC to become a barrister.

Qualification you'll receive

Postgraduate Diploma in Law (awarded by BPP University)

The PGDL enables a smooth transition into studying law whilst developing the skills you need to secure a training contract or pupillage. Non-law graduates are often in demand by recruiters, because they can offer transferable knowledge and skills that go beyond that of other candidates. Our new Law Conversion Course (PGDL) has been developed following extensive research with firms, chambers and aspiring lawyers. On our PGDL, you will learn like a lawyer from the outset, with teaching by experienced solicitors and barristers. Through highly interactive small group teaching sessions, we provide opportunities to apply your growing legal knowledge, professional capabilities and problem-solving skills.

The Law Conversion Course (PGDL) will develop your knowledge and understanding of core legal principles, and help you build foundational professional skills. Through our advanced approach, your preparation for practice starts from day one. All required learning materials are provided online as part of the course fee. This reflects modern working practices and minimise our environmental impact. Print on demand versions are available for students with specific learning needs.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students need to have one of the following: 4-year Bachelors awarded by a recognised university:in a subject relevant to the course to be studied at BPP Business School, awarded with a final mark of approximately 70%; 4-year degree from a private college in China with 85% pass; Students with no first degree but with 5-7 years work experience will be considered; Degrees from non-prestigious Chinese universities will be assessed individually; 3-year diploma plus employment experience, awarded by a recognised university in a subject relevant to the course to be studied at BPP Business School and awarded with a final mark of approximately 70%. If students have one of the following qualifications, they would be required to undertake our Masters Foundation Programme before entry onto a postgraduate Masters degree: 3-year diploma (Da Zhuan) in China with less than 70% and no work experience; Students without a first degree but with suitable relevant work experience may also be considered on for some masters programmes.
