The course will develop a depth of knowledge across several specialised and applied areas of Computer Science, such as Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile app and Web Development, and Cyber Security. These are areas that are much in demand, both in industry and research. There is a strong emphasis upon practical experience backed up with the underlying theory from the academics who are active and publishing researchers. The course focus is on teaching up-to-date and relevant in-demand knowledge and skills, from web development through to ethical hacking.
What happens on the course?
This degree builds upon fundamental areas of undergraduate Computer Science to give the students deep knowledge in specialist topics. The typical areas that you will study are:
Career Paths
The course will open up a range of careers from web and app developers through IT systems building, to further career paths in research and development. This course will also prepare you with the skills to go on to study for a PhD.
