Construction, Energy, and Sustainable Infrastructure MSCE Degree Program: UW CEE’s Construction, Energy and Sustainable Infrastructure (CESI) program was recently formed from the original Construction MSCE degree program. As the name implies, a wide range of specialization is allowed and includes construction, energy and sustainable infrastructure.

Careers

Graduates with MSCE degrees in CESI specialties enjoy careers in the construction industry (both vertical and heavy) as well as planning, designing and constructing either energy-related or sustainable infrastructure or both.

Program options and degree requirements

A total of 42 credits is required for all MSCE programs. The CESI Group offers both on-campus and online MSCE degrees programs. Master’s students enrolled in on-campus programs may take online courses as electives.

Research

Research track students engage in cutting-edge research with our diverse faculty on transportation and energy-related infrastructure challenges. Specific areas of focus include sustainable roads, power generation facilities, energy efficient buildings, social sustainability, engineering in developing communities and construction engineering. Sustainable community research is an increasing focus for the CESI Group and spans a wide range of topics including recent work with refugee settlements and their infrastructure needs.

为来自中国的学生设计 Prospective graduate students must meet the following minimum requirements: Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S.1or its equivalent from a foreign institution; Have earned at least a 3.0 grade-point-average (on a 4 point scale) for the last 90 graded quarter credits or 60 graded semester credits. Other English Language Requirements: 580 paper-based TOEFL.
